Think of this as an introduction to bread making at its very simplest. In our new cookery school you will get round the table with others but each make your own flatbreads and learn how to create a Focaccia dough. You stop for lunch to enjoy your flatbreads along with some home-made dips and cheeses . In the afternoon you will make good old Irish Soda Bread and then finish off by kneading and then baking your Focaccia. We see these as some of the nicest kinds of breads which you can easily and successfully make at home.
10.30 am Coffee, teas and Introductions
10.45 am You learn the art of a simple flat bread dough
11.15 You make your Focaccia dough
12.15 You roll out your flat breads and bake them for lunch
12.30/1pm You enjoy your flat breads with some of Get Cooking’s home-made dips, a selection of cheeses and a complimentary glass of wine
1.15/30pm You do the next stage of preparing your Focaccia dough
2pm You make and bake soda breads
2.45pm You bake your Focaccia
3-4pm Finish around this time.
Please note that occasionally we may make small changes to the course plan.
We provide all the ingredients which includes lunch. We also provide foil for you to take away your breads or you may wish to bring large tupperware boxes
