A day of foraging, baking and preserving

Becky specialises in baking with local, seasonal produce, much of which she grows and picks herself. She has a local business, The Travelling Tea Ladies, creating beautiful tea parties for special events & occasions.

In this fun and friendly class Becky will show you how to pick some common, local, wild ingredients. You’ll go out to look for common edible plants. Back at our fabulous kitchen you’ll use some of the plants to bake cakes. She’ll also show you how to make your own cordials, herbal teas and even elderflower wine. Come and find out what you can be picking and cooking with in June.

You’ll get lots of opportunities to talk about foraging, cooking and baking with wild ingredients and sample a range of food made with foraged produce. You get to take your cake and cordial home with you

The class will run from 10.0 – 3.30 and includes a beautiful lunch made by Becky with lots of wild food ingredients.

What past learners have said?

What a lovely class to take – a really fun group of people, a nice informal teaching style in the very smart setting of Get Cooking, Leeds. I cannot recommend Becky’s classes highly enough – the results taste delicious
